Get Involved
We welcome applications from people from the following groups
who would like to work trackside at race meetings:
Doctors
You must have completed Foundation Training (or equivalent) and
hold full registration with a license to practice from the General
Medical Council (GMC). Please note that doctors who qualified after
2007 now have to specifically apply to the GMC for a license to
practice unsupervised following their foundation training. This
must be done before working at a race meeting and can be done
online through the GMC website. All doctors must arrange
appropriate medical indemnity cover for their practice (e.g. MDU or
MPS).
Paramedics
You must be registered as a paramedic with the Health
Professions Council (HPC).
Other healthcare professionals
Are very welcome to attend as observers. Potential employment at
race meetings would be on a "case-by-case" basis. To be considered
applicants would be required to demonstrate previous pre-hospital
experience and appropriate advanced trauma care skills.
First Aiders
At this time we are unable to accept applications from first
aiders. If you would like to get involved then please contact our local St John Ambulance group who
provide ambulances and first aiders for race meetings.
Application
In order to apply please express interest through the contact
page on this website. You will be asked to send us a copy of your
CV with a short covering E-mail or letter. You may be invited to
attend a race meeting for an informal interview and to observe the
team in action.
